This Man Disappeared Over A Decade Ago Then His Wife Recognized A Face 1,000 Miles From Their Home

When Sandie Gillette woke up that day, she had no idea that her life would turn upside down in a few hours.

She was about to face someone she knew very well. And he would make her life a living hell...

The Day Of

Sandie and her children drove to the store to get weekly groceries. They bought some snacks, fruits, and meat and were just browsing around before leaving the store.

Then, suddenly, Sandie spotted a familiar face. Her stomach dropped. This couldn't be happening.

In Shock

Sandie couldn't believe her eyes. She had no doubt in her mind that it was him.

They walked past eachother without saying a word. Sandie felt like her whole world came crashing down on her. But what was he doing here?

She Needed A Minute

Her children noticed how scared she looked and asked whether she was alright. But Sandie was so shocked and scared that she couldn't even speak.

She had to sit down for a minute to process what had just happened.

She Calmed Down

After a few minutes, she finally calmed herself down. This wasn't the first time he had caused her so much stress and worry.

But who was this man?

Ex-Husband

The man she saw was called Bertrand Putnam. He was her ex-husband and the father of her two children.

However, the kids were too little to remember him. Sandie, however, clearly remembered everything he had done to her.

Horrible Person

Their marriage was awful for a lot of reasons. He was an alcoholic, a thief, and a liar.

He never raised his hand on Sandie, but he mentally abused her for years.

He Left

Sandie and her ex-husband were constantly fighting. She tried to divorce him several times, but she couldn't bring herself to do it.

But then, after one awful argument, Putnam suddenly packed his bags and left.

Too Young To Remember

She never saw him again until this fateful day. Luckily, her kids were too young to remember how toxic and awful he was.

They grew up without a father figure, but Sandie did a great job raising them and providing them with everything they needed.

The Urge

Sandie thought it was over and she would never see him again. But she was wrong.

She felt the urge to talk to him and ask him for an explanation of all he did. Maybe it was just curiously, or maybe she was still attached to him.

Following Him

Sandie and her children followed her ex-husband at a discrete distance. They had no idea what their mother was up to, but they had a feeling it was serious.

When they approached their car, Sandie and her kids got inside to avoid getting caught by Putnam.

A New Victim

Sandie looked through her window and saw him getting into his car as well.

Next to him was a woman—a new victim who probably still had no idea what kind of person he really was.

At Home

Sandie felt sorry for his new prey and wished she could tell her all about her ex-husband.

The first thing Sandie did when she got home was open an old album to compare the man she had just seen with the picture of Putnam.

It Was Him

It was definitely him. The last time she had seen him was 11 years ago after that huge argument.

Today, Sandie is a strong woman who doesn't need a man to take care of her and her children. She learned to love herself.

It's Over

Sandie smiled to herself as she flushed the photos of her ex-husband down the toilet.

Then, she put the photo album back on the shelf and went to play badminton with her sons.
