Margaret couldn't believe it! Inside the envelope was a notepad page from a former anonymous curator that claimed that something of great importance from Ancient Egypt was carefully hidden in the package. The note claimed that inside of it there was something that could change our entire perception about Ancient Egypt and must be handled carefully. Margaret then did this.

Margaret admitted that she was reluctant to believe that something of this value could be sent to her in such a way. The museum had already an astonishing and variable collection of ancient Egypt artifacts from Motsuef to Tanuat and Margaret was without any doubt the person to inspect this mysterious parcel.

Margaret and her team finally opened the parcel and what was inside made them even more confused. Margaret though was ecstatic and excited, as if she suddenly knew that this was not just a bad joke or a fake. What was inside after all?

The team was shocked to see that what was inside the parcel was folded just like fabric. It was all stuck together and it would take many hours for the team to be able to unfold it. At first, they all thought that it was just a plain papyrus but Margaret pointed out at this.

The unfolding process took more than 24 hours and Margaret never left the museum until it was fully unfolded. It was clear that they were holding an amazing piece of history... But what was it exactly? Why was Margaret so shocked about this?

“None of us could have imagined the remarkable figure that would greet us when we were finally able to unroll it,” Dr. Maitland later admitted. The more her team investigated the parcel, the more they believed this find was really groundbreaking. They continued their examination…" Margaret said.

To their surprise except for the amazing piece of art the team found a piece of mummy wrapping! Margaret explains: “What we found under the head were layers of the original mummy wrapping that had obviously come away when the shroud was taken off the body,” To their surprise except for the amazing piece of art the team found a piece of mummy wrapping!

Margaret estimated that the other artifacts of the museum could help them determine the age of the fabric and she was right. Using some data from the exhibit of Montsuef and Nanuet they realized that the fabric should be from the first century A.D. But there is something else.

During the time that the fabric was made, Egypt was at the peak of its wealth and high members of the society competed about who could have the most impressive crypts. Starting to making connections?

The crypts served another reason as well... They were thought to be the place where the soul will be carried to the afterlife after death. The ancient Egyptians believed that they could carry their wealth to the afterlife, hence all this.

Except for valauble artifcats sometimes the ancient Egyptians were even building statues to put into the tombs. Before fidning the fabric Margaret had just unearthed a tomb with this amazing statue.

This valuable piece of history would have never be known to mankind if it wasn't for Margaret's intuition and curiosity. She was sure that something was up with this strange parcel and she came a long way after that.

While Margaret and her team were able to examine and reveal this amazing piece of history, little is known about the strange curator that sent the package. As it seems, this will always remain a mystery!
