Massive Lion Named "Bonecrusher" Befriends A Small But Brave Pet

We all know that lions have earned their name of kings of the jungle, and their mighty roars and sizes are proof of that. But what we’re seeing now is that they’re not very different from our housecats! Who could have thought these felines are so different in size, but so similar in personality? However, we must remember that wild animals are unpredictable.

And when you know these massive ‘cats’ have four-inch teeth and one and a half-inch claws, you definitely don’t want to stay in their way! One brave pet did get very close to a huge lion, and the caretakers couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw how the 500-pound lion they call Bonedigger (and sometimes Bonecrusher) reacted to this tiny being entering his enclosure! Let's see the incredible story of Bonedigger, his favorite caretaker and his many little friends...

John is the fortunate man to care for these massive wild animals. Years ago, he was offered to take in a lion cub and a tiger cub. That’s how he ended up hand rearing Tony the tiger and Bonedigger the lion.

The cats and their caretaker have been best buds ever since. But one day, Reinke noticed something strange about Bonedigger…

Tony the tiger loved jumping around, while Bonedigger just stood around, growling at the tiger. The caretaker soon found out from the vet that Bonedigger had a metabolic bone disease, so his bones were a bit brittle, causing him several small deformities.

It hit close to home, as John Reinke was also fighting his own condition.

Years before getting the two cubs, John went bungee jumping and had an unfortunate accident, falling from 55 feet and breaking his legs, hip and back. He also landed on a 6-inch spike metal but had the luck to survive this ordeal. After years of recuperating and operations, John knew he had to change his life and help the world.

So he discovered a new passion - working with animals. That’s why Tony and Bonedigger helped him cope with his condition.

John raised the cubs at home, and in his backyard while they were small, but as they outgrew their homes, he had to find a new place. So they got a place at the Wynnewood Animal Park in Oklahoma.

But Bonedigger didn’t like his new home because he got separated from his best friend Tony. You see, Tony was in a different enclosure, waiting to meet other tigers!

Bonedigger was pacing around his enclosure, sad that he had no friends. There were no other lions in the park, and Reinke didn’t know what to do. It looked like Bonedigger was all alone now, and it was heartbreaking to see him so sad.

What nobody knew was that the park’s mascots would soon become Bonedigger’s squad of friends. Get ready to have some laughs!

The massive 500-pound lion has befriended a small brave pet... To make things even better, these two are not just friends. They are also playmates and they love nothing more than to have fun while running after each other.

As we can clearly see, this is one of the most unusual pair of friends that the world has ever seen. Who would ever expect a ferocious predator such as Bonedigger to become best friends with a small wiener dog? How did they get to meet?

The caretakers are saying that they have never seen anything like this before. At first, they were terrified when they saw that the small wiener dog sneaked inside the lion’s cage but Bonedigger didn’t mean any harm.

He was just looking for a friend.

Just look at how massive this lion is! We think it’s safe to say that the lion has earned his nickname.

Even though lions are some of the most ferocious beasts in the world, they also have a friendly side that most people fail to see because they are terrified of their huge teeth and sharp claws.

The caretakers at G.W. Exotic Animal Park are saying that Bonecrusher and Milo the wiener met just a few days after the lion was brought to the park.

For some unknown reason, Milo was the one who started running inside the lion’s cage! The dog was used to seeing other big cats at the park, and then he saw the new resident!

A couple of years have passed since the two animals became best friends and now they share a strong bond.

No one can get between them and the caretakers or anyone else who visits the animal park is left in awe after seeing Bonecrusher and Milo playing together.

The most incredible thing about this unusual friendship is that the two friends have somehow figured out their size difference and Bonecrusher is always gentle when he plays with Milo.

After all, he doesn’t want to hurt his best friend.

To make things even more adorable, Bonecrusher has befriended all of Milo’s siblings.

The big and scary lion has learned at a young age that wiener dogs are great friends.

The caretakers are saying that they can’t believe that a 500-pound lion such as Bonecrusher is sharing his food with a couple of dogs.

This is super rare because most wild animals don’t like to share their meals, especially with animals of different breeds.

Even though Bonecrusher might be very friendly with the small wiener dogs, this is not the case for everyone else. Reinke said that the lion usually chases anyone else who isn’t Milo out of his cage.

Even the people who come to bring him food!

If there is something that we can be sure about, then it has to be the fact that this gang of unusual friends is having lots of fun together.

We are glad to know Bonecrusher has many friends and that he can live a happy life at the animal park.

Whenever Bonecrusher is roaring all the other animals who live at the park get terrified, but not Milo and his siblings.

They know that even though the roar sounds scary, Bonecrusher doesn’t mean them any harm.

Just like a domestic cat, Bonecrusher loves it when Reinke is there to cuddle with him.

Being a big cat doesn’t mean that Bonecrusher doesn’t want to be loved and cared for!

Bonecrusher got lucky that he met the wiener dogs and formed a strong friendship with them.

The reason behind this is that Bonecrusher and Milo are going to live a good life having together all day long until the sun sets down.

Truth be told, Milo is a really brave dog.

How many dogs do you know that have the courage to run inside a lion’s cage and start eating the food of the lion?

We think it’s safe to say that no one is ever going to mess with Milo or his brothers and sisters as long as Bonecrusher is around.

The 500-pound lion is just like a big brother for the small dogs.

One of the most interesting things about this strange friendship dynamic is the fact that Bonecrusher is not the one who always chases the dogs around when they have fun.

The dogs also chase the lion when they are playfighting!

The caretakers who work at the animal park said that even though the friendship between Bonecrusher and Milo is unusual and strange, it’s also amazing at the same time.

People from all over the world made appointments to their animal park so that they can see these two best friends having fun.

We also want to give praise to the G.W.

Exotic Animal Park in Wynnewood, Oklahoma because without their help, Bonecrusher and Milo would’ve never met.

Whoever thought that a puppy could get this close to a lion and then live to tell the story another day!

Even though Milo is small, his heart and courage are huge!

We are glad to let everyone know that our story has a happy ending.

These two are going to have lots of fun times together.
