Immigrating From The DR
Samantha Sepulveda arrived in the United States at the young age of 5. Her mother had come to New York from the Dominican Republic to work in a factory.
This allowed Samantha and her young sister to have every opportunity to thrive. That was her mother's dream - for her girls to have more opportunities than she did.
College Star
As a young girl, Samantha always enjoyed sports. This love paid off for her when she received a LaCrosse scholarship to the University of Massachusetts.
During her time at the university, she earned a Bachelors degree in management, and followed it up with her Masters in finance from Hofstra University. She was going to have a bright future!
Small But Strong
Standing a diminutive 5-foot-2-inches tall, Samantha was deceptively tough. She knew that if she wanted to get ahead and fulfill her dreams, she would have to stand up for herself.

After Graduation
After her graduation from Hofstra, Samantha realized that she didn’t want to be in finance. It was a stable field to go into but she didn't have the love for it that she thought she would.
She decided to go down a different path, and become a police officer. She wanted more action in her daily work life, and she would certainly get that.
Civil Servant
Her decision was made primarily because she wanted to help people. The action day to day would be great, but she wanted to be with people and be there to help.
Being a stockbroker on wall street simply wouldn’t allow her to do that. It wasn't all about the money for her, at least not initially.
Freeport Police Department
After her time in Police Academy, Samantha joined the Freeport P.D. in Long Island, New York. She was so proud to be a part of the force.
It wasn’t what she had studied for, but she found this job to be far more rewarding. This was the beginning of an adventure for her, something she knew she had to do.
Early Struggles
As a woman, being a police officer is tough, but it was even tougher for a petite beauty like Samantha. The force is still a predominantly male demographic.
After working hard, and doing her job well, she was eventually able to overcome the stereotypes that followed her. She earned the respect of her colleagues.
Advantages
With great interpersonal skills, Samantha was able to thrive in the world of criminal justice. She was liked by the police force.
While she wasn’t as intimidating as some of her counterparts, she found that this was actually an advantage in some cases.
On Duty
When she’s on duty, Samantha makes sure to be as masculine as possible. Her hair is pulled back, she stands up straight, and she wears her uniform with pride.
She also doesn’t wear any makeup as she considers it totally unnecessary for her to do her job. At least that one...
Giving In
During an arrest, one criminal gushed that she was the best-looking cop that he had ever seen. While that is massively inappropriate to say, it was said by a criminal so it makes sense.

Start In Modeling
In 2013, the beautiful brunette began her secret identity as a model. She used her natural given beauty to help her advance in the world.
She was invited to a fashion show for a lingerie company, and her career took off from there. It is a stark difference between her day job and this side hustle.
Empowerment
Samantha began her new career just three years after becoming a police officer. She didn't realize just how fruitful for her and scandalous it was going to be to others who found out.
She found her new second job to be just as empowering as her day job. One was about helping others and making sure the community was safe, while the other empowered her within her own skin.
New Opportunities
Sam’s new career allowed her to explore the world, but she still needed to schedule her trips on her off days so as to make sure her jobs didn't collide.
Her job performance never suffered, though. She made sure to devote her time to her police job as that was her top priority and the most important thing.
Found Out
They knew that she was a beauty and that it made sense that she would model if she could. The teasing was more out of sheer shock that she had such a different job outside of being a police officer.
Cognitive Dissonance
Samantha soon realized that public perception was unfair in this situation. While her police job was first and foremost, she was being thought of as a model first.
Fellow officers had second jobs in other occupations, but for some reason, the public didn’t understand that modeling is a job too.
Ignoring The Critics
“If people find it offensive, they can close their eyes!” Samantha stood up to her critics, and went on to explain that she believed that she was not objectifying but celebrating a woman’s body.
She was proud of her looks and wanted to be a good example for other women.
Her Book
Sam has been working on a book outlining her struggles as a female police officer.
She hopes “American Beauty” will help to inspire young girls and boys to become their best selves.
Charity Work
On top of her work on her book, Samantha is also putting her time into a project that will build sustainable energy plants in Thailand.
Finally, she was able to put her financial skills to good use. It was always about combining her many skills and education.
Going Viral
During her time as a model, she has gained over 270k followers on Instagram! She has more than that now and is an influencer for all intents and purposes.
Plus, she has been featured in Maxim, as well as being interviewed on many media platforms.
Hard Work
Sam has put in a lot of work to get to where she is at. Besides her work to gain her Masters, she has also put in the work to be a good cop.
