As it got closer to the coastline, people realized that there might be a crew of people on the vessel that were bound to get hurt. Many confused onlookers noticed that they had to do something before the boat went crashing into the rocks. So, the people did the only thing they knew how.

At the conclusion of his journey, Rick Small finally made it to St. John's, the capital city of province Newfoundland and Labrador. It was there that he set up camp on the island and eventually started this boat project that he had dedicated to the homeless. Since Small's houseboat washed ashore in November 2016, there has been no update on Rick Small's location. He is often times off the grid, and he is not an easy man to locate.
