Johnny Depp
Source: Unlock Astrology Depp is one of the world's highest paid actors according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Despite his financial success and three Academy Award nominations (including one for his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in "Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl"), he has yet to take home the prize either.
He has, however, won a Golden Globe for his role in "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street."
Harrison Ford
Source: Digital Spy Harrison Ford is a man's man, and he also basically took over the 80's by himself for his portrayal of Indiana Jones, Han Solo, and Rick Deckard in Blade Runner. Constantly regarded as one of the best actors of all time, Ford still hasn't won an Oscar. His only Academy Award nomination was for his role in "Witness" in 1985.
He lost to F. Murray Abraham for his role in "Amadeus."
Mel Gibson
Source: Esquire This one's a bit confusing, as Mel did win an Oscar for directing Braveheart. He hasn't, however, won an Oscar for acting yet, and hasn't even been nominated!
We thought his performance in Hamlet was particularly extraordinary, but the Academy has their own ideas of who does and doesn't deserve it.
Will Smith

Will Smith has seen about as much success as any other actor in Hollywood. As of 2014, 17 of the 21 films he starred in the leading role with made over $100 million at the Box Office.
One thing that has eluded him, however, is an Oscar. He was nominated for his role in "Ali" and "Pursuit of Happyness" in 2001 and 2006 respectively, but lost each time.
Samuel L. Jackson

His movies have made over $4.9053 billion, grossing an average of $69.1 million per film. Despite the financial success, he was only nominated for an Academy Award once for his role in "Pulp Fiction." He lost that year to Tommy Lee Jones who starred in "The Fugitive."
Robert Downey Jr.

Robert Downey Jr. is Iron Man, and he's also freakin' hilarious.
In fact, he was so hilarious in his role in "Tropic Thunder" that the Academy decided to throw him an Oscar nod for Best Supporting Actor. Unfortunately he lost to Javier Bardem that year who appeared in "No Country For Old Men." Robert was also nominated, but lost, in 1992 for his performance in "Chaplin."
Ian McKellan

You can tell me he's Ian McKellan all you want, but when I look at him, I see Gandalf. In all seriousness, Ian is another incredible actor who hasn't been given the honor of an Oscar win yet.
He's been nominated twice for his role in "Gods and Monsters" in 1998 and "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring," in 2001.
Clint Eastwood

Despite Clint exploring directing in his later years, it's still kind of crazy that he didn't win Academy Awards for "Gran Turino" or "Million Dollar Baby." He was nominated for his role in the latter and was also nominated for his role in "Unforgiven" years before.
Don't worry, though, he's won Best Director twice for "Unforgiven" and "Million Dollar Baby."
Donald Sutherland

Known most recently for his performance as President Snow in the Hunger Games franchise, Donald Sutherland is another old-school Hollywood actor who hasn't won an Academy Award.
In fact, he's never even been nominated despite great performances in 6 different decades.
Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman is an Australian Actor best known for playing the Marvel character Wolverine in eight different movies.
Despite getting started in the 90's, it took the actor two decades to score an Academy Award nomination, of which he finally did for his performance in 2012's "Les Miserables." Unfortunately he lost to Jean Dujardin, who won for his role in "The Artist."
Matt Damon

You don't have to feel too bad for Matt Damon since he won an Oscar for a little screenplay called "Good Will Hunting." However it does kind of suck because Matt is an awesome actor who definitely deserves one.

He's another actor who's been nominated a staggering three times, each for his roles in "Primal Fear," "American History X," and "Birdman." We still think he should've been nominated for "Fight Club." Maybe the Academy didn't want to talk about it..

Liam Neeson

"Schindler's List" was a masterpiece, and Liam Neeson got his one and only deserved Oscar nomination for his impeccable performance in the film. Unfortunately he lost to Al Pacino for his role in "Scent of a Woman" that year, and hasn't been nominated since.
At least he got to run around and beat bad guys up while filming "Taken."
Ed Harris

Ed Harris is another one of those members of the "Old Hollywood" who hasn't been recognized for their talents. He's been nominated an incredible four times for his roles in "Apollo 13," "The Truman Show," "The Hours," and "Pollock," and hasn't won once.
He's like Leonardo Dicaprio. We hope he can win sometime soon.
Michael Fassbender

Michael's got a lot of years ahead of him. Even though he didn't win for his performance as "Steve Jobs" in the film of the same name.
He was also nominated for his role in "12 Years a Slave," of which he lost to Jared Leto for "Dallas Buyers Club." Michael's still young, and clearly one of the best new talents in Hollywood these days. Speaking of new talents..
